Although Admiral Twin hail from the land of Oral Roberts and share a label with Plastiscene, they actually rule. Their brand of Power Pop is refreshingly unpredictable, and even though the song choruses get louder than the verses, they do it with such dynamic sincerity that their chord changes sound like they are genuine concerns. The singing is a bit gender-bending which proves sonically pleasing on the vocal harmonies. Imagine Brit Pop-inspired songs so accessible, you'd have to invent another word for "crossover."
