Astrid
The Spanish electronic pop duo Astrud was started by Genis (keyboards/programming) and Manolo Martinez (vocals/guitar) in the late nineties in Barcelona. They have built a fan base by offering fun, gentle songs with a pop angle and often tongue-in-cheek lyrics. Influenced by The Smiths and New Order, Astrud released their debut EP, “Superman”, in 1997. The full-length offering “Mi Fracaso Personal” followed in 1999 and included songs such as “No Estaría Mal No Tener Que Saber Qué Es Lo Que Va A Pasar”. 2004 saw the issue of their offering “Performance”.
