Bluesy Hard Rock with withered, hair-raising female vocals. Band de Soleil was formed in the '80s by Michelle Malone, a mean guitar player and the closest thing to Janis Joplin since, well, Janis Joplin. A virtual colleague of Lenny Kravitz, Malone crafts her songs with the same sort of Classic Rock familiarity, achieving similarly infectious results.
