The Blake Babies have reunited and recorded their first album in a decade. On March 6th, the cult-favorite Beantown alterna-trio will release God Bless the Blake Babies, a twelve-track disc that is their first recording of new material since the 1991 EP, Rosy Jack World. In 1993, Mammoth Records released a collection of the band's previously released work as Innocence and Experience.
After the band's breakup, Juliana Hatfield launched a solo career that saw her release six solo albums over the past ten years including last year's dual releases, Beautiful Creature and Total System Failure. Guitarist John Strohm and drummer Freda Love Smith threw their attention towards a new pop-project, Antenna.
On God Bless the Blake Babies, the band offers tracks penned by all three members along with offerings from former Lemonhead and Blake buddy Evan Dando and Ben Lee. Dando also duets with Hatfield on "Brain Damage."
