As a solo artist, Blockhead brings out the sensitive, mellow side of trip-/hip-hop. Blockhead has produced tracks for Aesop Rock, Murs, and S.A. Smash, among others. Blockhead tried his hand at rapping before becoming a full-time producer. He has also released a breaks record on Mush, entitled "Blockhead's Broke Beats."
