(LONDON) - V2 Records has signed U.S.-born singer/songwriter N'Dea Davenport, former vocalist in British soul-funk combo Brand New Heavies, to a worldwide deal. |
The pact is thought to be an integral part of V2's deal to distribute and market product from Delicious Vinyl, to which Davenport was previously signed. Davenport, who has worked with Madonna, Bootsy Collins, Al Jarreau and Emmylou Harris, will release a solo album through V2 in the spring. The set, with production by Davenport, Daniel Lanois and Dallas Austin, will include covers of Neil Young's "Old Man" and Bobby Blue Bland's "Save Your Love."
