The line-up for the inaugural Creamfields USA dance festival has been set. Festival organizers, operators of Liverpool's super club Cream, have announced Fatboy Slim, Darren Emerson, Crystal Method, Orbital and numerous other acts for the east and west coast dates: September 1st in Long Island, New York and September 29th in Las Vegas. Last year's U.K. festival attracted 50,000 revelers, the biggest crowd ever for a U.K. music event.
The New York venue holds 30,000 plus and the show, featuring Fatboy, Richie Hawtin, Emerson, Crystal Method, Josh Wink, Orbital and others, will run from 2 p.m. to 6 a.m. The Vegas venue holds 40,000 plus and features those artists as well as Sandra Collins, Bad Boy Bill, DJ Dan, Christopher Lawrence, Adam Freeland and others.
Aside from the music, Creamfields' circus tent arenas will house carnival rides, bars, food vendors and a celebrity beach football tournament. Tickets for the events go on sale June 1st. Aside from the U.S. dates, there will be a Creamfields in Dublin on June 23rd, Liverpool on August 25th, Buenos Aires on November 10th, and Australia, which is being planned for late 2001.
