Fatboy Slim Back in the Mix

"Live on Brighton Beach" to follow U.S. club tour

Fatboy Slim will release his second mix CD, Live on Brighton Beach, in May. He will delve further back into his club roots with a short U.S. tour that kicks off this week. The seven-date jaunt opens Friday in San Francisco and then makes stops in Los Angeles, Austin and Dallas, before Fatboy (a.k.a. Norman Cook) winds it up at the Miami-based Winter Music Conference.

Live on Brighton Beach, the follow-up to 1998's On the Floor at the Boutique, will be released on Cook's own Southern Fried Records in association with Ministry of Sound. The effort is the result of the free beachside dance show Cook performed to thousands in his hometown of Brighton, England last summer. In addition to Fatboy's original remixes, he tackles tracks by Underworld, Leftfield and Basement Jaxx.

Fatboy Slim's upcoming club tour:

3/8: San Francisco, 1015 Folsom
3/9: Los Angeles, Spundae
3/21: Austin, Austin Music Hall
3/22: Dallas, Bronco Bowl
3/23: Miami, Nikki's Beach Hut
3/24: Miami, Nash Hotel
3/25: Miami, Crobar
