Lindsey Buckingham intended to put out a solo album years ago, but the Fleetwood Mac shows up. “They said, ‘Let’s do a studio album!’” Buckingham explains. Those songs lead to 2003’s Say You Will. The new solo album Gift of Screws ironically came from a period where Buckingham was less focused on music and more centered on his family.
