Before Frausdots, singer Brent Rademaker was in Further, Beachwood Sparks and his brother Darren's band the Tyde. Rademaker wrote music for TV shows and spent the money feeding his drug addiction. Something he thankfully recovered from. Sounding a little like early Depeche Mode and Lloyd Cole, Frausdots play dark, moody pop that sounds more '80s than the '80s. To get that mysterious '80s sound, Frausdots got members of the Cure and the Psychedelic Furs to play on their debut album. Other worthwhile bands in the Frausdots family tree are All Night Radio, Beachwood Sparks, Further, the Tyde and Fairechild.
