Interspersing nervous beats and warped voice-overs among spacey electronic chords, Funki Porcini has reinvented ambient techno. On "We're Out of Here," vintage jazz-organ riffs float into the mix, while on "The Great Drive By," demonic glints of wah-wah guitar seem to float out of it. Fast Asleep unfolds and drifts with all the inexplicable beauty of a dream sequence.
