His humantarian efforts continue this month with the Harry Chapin Tribute Concert. The event, to be held this Saturday (18) at Smith Point County Park on Long Island in New York, will feature members of Chapin's original band, including his brother Steve.

Attendees are asked to bring nonperishable foods for donations. The following day, VH1 will air an hour-long "Behind The Music" segment on Chapin, focusing on his humanitarian efforts. Chapin died July 16, 1981, in a Long Island car accident. He is best known for the songs "Taxi," "Cats in the Cradle," and "I Want to Learn a Love Song."
