Jon Langford
Founding member of U.K. Punk band the Mekons, Langford's now a fixture in Chicago's Alt Country and Indie Rock scene.
Langford has also been in the arty Post-Rock outfit the Three Johns, and the Killer Shrews, with guitar wizard Gary Lucas.
In addition to his many musical pursuits, the man's a celebrated painter. His work often depicts icons such as Hank Williams.
On stage, Langford's between-song banter is usually as wry and compelling as his tunes.
