Kitaro

Inspired by Klaus Schulze in 1972, this Japanese composer focused on lush, gentle electronics that paved the way for New Age.
Ethnic fusion composer Kitaro of Japan has made a career of synth-driven spiritual new age for more than twenty-five years.
Kitaro categorizes his musical style simply as "spiritual," saying that, "feeling is the most important element in my music."
Though Kitaro now lives near Boulder, Colo., he returns annually to Mount Fuji to perform a ritual drum ceremony.
Inspired by American R&B in high school, Kitaro taught himself to play electric guitar and formed a progressive rock band.
