Singer-guitarist Rory Block, a long time fixture on the folk and blues scene, interprets the music of Delta and Country Blues masters such as Robert Johnson, Charlie Patton, and Son House with an uncanny intensity and rare originality. She plays her acoustic guitar with a slashing, thumping style that recreates, rather than copies, the spirit of the original.
