Spacemen 3's all-stripped-down, droning psychedelic blues has made them one of the more influential underground bands.
The band came together in 1982, sharing a common love of bands like The Cramps and the 13th Floor Elevators.
Sonic Boom and Jason Pierce were the core members of the band until their break-up in 1991.
Sonic Boom then formed Spectrum while Jason Pierce formed Spiritualized.
