The Artwoods
A rocking British R&B outfit, the Artwoods never hit it big in mid-'60s Mod England. Not as relentless as the Small Faces or the Who, the Artwoods also excelled at soulful ballads, country-ish tunes, and up-tempo instrumentals. They always picked great covers -- like the theme to Our Man Flint -- which partly explains their cult following today. Great fun and highly recommended.
