The Brian Jonestown Massacre
This important indie psyche band has been punching each other onstage and generally causing chaos since the early 1990s.
"Dig!," a documentary detailing the ups and downs, insanity and genius of Brian Jonestown Massacre, came out in 2004.
The band is driven by the volatile and somewhat unbalanced Anton Newcombe.
Since its inception, over 40 different people have played in and quit the band at one time or another.
The name of the band refers to original Rolling Stones guitarist Brian Jones and the Jim Jones mass cult suicide in 1978.
