The Johnson Mountain Boys
This group brought the same sort of passion and virtuoso picking to the Traditional Bluegrass canon that their more progressive contemporaries such as the Seldom Scene and Newgrass Revival brought to their more experimental stuff. This made the group a favorite of both Traditional and Progressive fans.
