The Young-Holt Unlimited
Spawned from the Ramsey Lewis Trio in the mid-'60s, this bass/drums/piano trio followed the same path as their ex-boss. Their best-known songs, "Wack Wack" (recorded as The Young-Holt Trio) and the aptly titled "Soulful Strut," exemplify the lightly jazzy Soul and good-humored funkiness that were their hallmarks.
