Waco Brothers
Chicago-based Alt Country act led by Jon Langford has been described as "half Cash, half Clash."
The Waco Brothers stomp around the same musical territory Langford's other band, the Mekons, explored in the early '80s.
As the band sing on "The Death of Country Music," they're "digging up the ashes / of the bones of the Jones and the Cashes."
Waco Brothers guitarist Dean Schlabowske trades off lead vocal duties with Langford.
Drummer Steve Goulding also played with the Rumour (Pub Rocker Graham Parker's band), the Mekons, and Poi Dog Pondering.
