Crítica del álbum
Like old wounds, albums such as this seem to plague every artist who's finally hit it big in the marketplace. Be warned. Wanted Dead or Alive is Warren Zevon's first LP (recorded in 1970 for Imperial), not the new one that's due shortly.
If Wanted Dead or Alive were interesting or any good, we could cheer its reissue. But Zevon fanatics would be hard pressed to find much merit or, indeed, even to recognize their hero in songs whose titles promise a lot ("A Bullet for Ramona," "Gorilla," "Wanted Dead or Alive") but deliver very little. Hey, he just wasn't ready then. Simple as that. (RS 309)
