Hailing from Atlanta, Yung Joc rose to fame on the popularity of his 2006 hit single, "It's Going Down." Though they're considered a part of the violent, cocaine-coated subgenre of trap music, Joc's songs have a lighter pop vibe. Joc was initially recruited by Atlanta record label Bloc Entertainment, which was responsible for Boyz N Da Hood. Yung Joc has become president of Mastermind Music, a record label begun by himself and friend Chino Dollar. Yung Joca??s "It's Goin' Down" was produced and written by Nitti, whose pseudonym is a nod to real gangster Frank Nitty.
