Early rapcore innovators, Orange County's (hed) pe debuted with a 1995 EP called "Church of Realities."
They call it g-punk, a mix of punk and hip-hop.
(hed) p.e. mixes scratching, nu metal drums, hip hop choruses and classic grunge guitars.
The band first met at underground music shows in the Orange County, Calif., scene.
There's a clear debt to the Beastie Boys and Rage Against the Machine in both their sound and energy level.
