Gospel instrumental
Instrumental Gospel largely consists of traditional Christian hymns and other songs of praise in lyric-free arrangements. Sometimes this can mean hard core, burn-the-keys worship music (some actually recorded during worship concerts or regular Sunday services) -- music that picks up where words leave off and speaks the deeper emotions of the soul. It's also common for well-known Contemporary Christian Music (CCM) tunes to take on new life as easy-paced instrumentals, as any song of worship could be eligible to be processed into Instrumental Gospel. Songs that take this approach are characterized by looping rhythms, heavy string arrangements and lush orchestration -- ideal for ice-skating on the parish pond.
